Casting or spinning?
Casting rods pair with baitcasting reels: the grip has a trigger and the guides face up. Spinning rods pair with spinning reels: the guides are larger and face down.

Power: UL to H
Power is the strength or stiffness of the blank — from UL (ultra light), L, ML, M, MH, up to H (heavy). Fish that hide in thick cover, like snakehead, generally call for more power; light lures and small fish suit lower power.

Action: fast or regular
Fast or extra-fast action bends mainly at the tip — responsive and quick on the hook set. Regular or moderate action bends further down — more forgiving during the fight and good for lures with small hooks.

Length, lure weight, and pieces
Shorter rods are more accurate for casting into gaps in cover; longer rods cast further. Match the lure and line rating to the lures you use most. One-piece rods are more sensitive; two-piece rods are easier to carry.

What do UL, L, ML, M, MH, and H mean on a rod?
That is the rod power, from the softest (UL, ultra light) to the stiffest (H, heavy). Choose based on fish size, lure weight, and how thick the cover is at your spot.
What is the difference between fast and regular action?
Fast action bends at the tip, so it is responsive and quick on the hook set; regular action bends further down, so it is more forgiving during the fight.
Casting or spinning rod — which one should I get?
Follow your reel: a baitcasting reel goes with a casting rod, a spinning reel with a spinning rod. Casting is more accurate with medium–heavy lures; spinning is easier with light lures.
What kind of rod is good for snakehead?
Snakehead often strike near cover such as fish cages, weeds, and rocks. A casting rod with MH–H power and fast action helps pull the fish out of cover quickly.

Yes. Drop by our basecamp in West Bogor, daily 07:00–21:00 (WIB). Message us on WhatsApp first so we can have them ready.
